About Us
US Address Generator started as a small internal tool: whenever we were testing a checkout form or seeding a staging database, we kept needing a batch of realistic-looking US addresses that weren't tied to any real person. We built a generator that produces correctly formatted street addresses, cities, states, and ZIP codes, and eventually put it online so other developers and testers wouldn't have to build the same thing themselves.
What This Tool Actually Does
The generator covers all 50 US states plus Washington D.C. Each address follows real US postal formatting conventions — a two-letter state abbreviation, a ZIP code drawn from that state's actual code range, and a street/city naming pattern typical of the region. It does not pull addresses from any live database of real residences; the output is generated according to formatting rules, which is exactly what makes it safe to use for testing without touching anyone's real information.
Who This Is For
- Developers testing shipping-address forms, checkout flows, or address-validation logic
- QA engineers who need a repeatable supply of format-correct test data
- Students and designers building UI mockups that need realistic-looking placeholder content
- Anyone populating a spreadsheet or database with sample rows for a demo
What This Tool Is Not For
The addresses generated here are not real, deliverable locations, and this site has no connection to the US Postal Service or any shipping carrier. Do not use generated data for identity verification, financial applications, official documents, or as an actual shipping destination for anything you expect to receive. Using placeholder data to misrepresent your identity to a third party may violate that service's terms or the law in your jurisdiction — that responsibility sits with the user, not with this tool.
